the disappearance task(part 1)answer

At the first sight of the title i thought the story is going to be about a paranormal activities(these activities commonly about bad spirit,devil etc) because the words 'disappearance' already indicate something or someone is missing without a trace,maybe.So,as a conclusion,the title is giving a hint about something not good.(sue wrote this)

The father dont tell his son about his mothers diappearance because from the story already shows that the son is close to her mother and he just dont want the son to feel at worst sad ever.As for the white lie...well..i think its acceptable in a certain situation.Just like in the story,the son is looking for his mother and theres a part of the story where he cry so hard that his father need to hold him tight to put him back to sleep. So,at a situation like this he needs to tell white lie just for the comfort of his son. Even his friends already told him to do it. So its acceptable^_^

The saying DOES NOT summarises the story AT ALL...Sir can u let us create our own ending?we will post it just like we did for the previous Short Story?can we can we?(elot wrote this hehe)

BIRTHDAY BY LEE KOK LIANG

PLOT
1.Exposition
She was staring at the window when her grandmother call her to come down to meet their guest (uncle Teng). Then,she crept up the loft and open a coconut box on a table and counted pieces of red string, thats when she realised that she's already 25th years old and yet no one remember it. She climbed down the ladder and entered her room at lit a candles then examined her reflection. She realised,that she was not as good looking as a-bride-to-be supposed to look.
2.Rising action
C.B (unknown relationships),came down in a lousy way and sat down beside uncle teng then.Both of them were having a conversations about girls that was when C.B said that 'She' doesnt have red lips as her grandmothers. She went to the fire place and raked the fire again thats when she saw cockroach on the firewood crawling down to her grandmother place.
3.Climax
The rice was simmering and its time for her to prepared for the curry(special menu of the night) only for her to accidently spilled over to Uncle tengs trousers. Her grandmother was absolutely upsets and scolded her.
4. Falling action
She was not going to be having her dinner as her grandmother ordered,she sat at the pile of firewood while they finish the dinner,After Uncle Tengs gone,she quickly wash her face and runs upstairs.
5. Resulotions
She ran to her room and pretended not to hear her grandmother called. Her grandmother climd upstairs to her room and there she was being scolded again with mean mean words. She was being called 'clumsy bitch' and curses to be a spinster for the rest of her life.

reflection on the previous lesson with Mr.camillus
i enjoy the lesson yesterday^_^Its good to see the effort of each group paid off with laughter from the other coursemate,as for our group....well..we should have memorise the the dialogue to make the acting more realistic...some of the group did really well with some effort of putting up backgrouds,props and not forgetting some slapsticks actions taken from the modern society which differ from the timeplots of the short story"Lamb Of The Slaughter",but as a whole.. GOOD JOB TESL STUDENT^_^
